Step 1.
Connect your machine to a television and select Setup from the sidebar.

Step 2.
From the Setup menu, click Dialing.

Step 3.
From the Dialing Options menu, click Use your ISP.
If you do not have the USE YOUR ISP option, contact WebTV Customer Care at 1-800-GO-WEBTV to activate OpenISP.

Step 4.
Read the Using your own ISP information and click the Continue button.

Step 5.
·In the Service provider name text box, type Express 56.
·In the Login name text box, type your Express 56 username. For example: your-username@express56.com
·In the password text box, type your Express 56 password.
·In the Modem dial-in number text box, type your local Express 56 access number.
Remember to check with your local telephone company to make sure that the numbers you choose is a local call.
·In the Backup dial-in number text box, type your secondary local Express 56 access number.
·Click the Done button.

Step 6.
Click the Continue button to allow your WebTV Internet terminal to hang up and reconnect.
Step 7.
Click the Use your ISP button. A confirmation screen will provide you with the option to use your own ISP or to use WebTV. Selecting Use your ISP will cause the WebTV Internet Terminal to redial using Express 56.
